<strike>I'm rebelling and writing my critique in a comment, first. But I'll copy/paste into the critique area if you want.</strike>
I'm actually wanting to try my hand at using the critique area...haha.
First off: I love the second one.
And here is why:
The first one is nice. I prefer the second because you shaded the trees. It balances out the sky the whiteness of everything else in the picture. In the first one, the white is a bit overwhelming. People's eyes are automatically attracted to look at something white in any picture. So having all of that white with no breaks doesn't give your eyes a chance to actually look at and observe what's going on in the picture.
Just by adding the gray to the leafy-areas it gives the viewer a chance to, first, see the house, and then appreciate it instead of fighting with where we want to look, first.
The style of the lines you used for this used at a nice consistency with the rest of the picture. Nothing looks out of place. As if it belongs there, and has always been there. The rounded, non-straight-edged lines of the house are really charming and fun to look at.
The ONLY reason I gave it a 4 star for originality is because of the fact that it is a charming house surrounded by trees. Your art is usually super spontaneous and crazy, while this is calming and somewhat...normal? But gorgeous, nonetheless. In other words. I LOVE IT~ AAAAUGH<3
